Shirley forces, under
contract to the complex, constructed a 1.5 million
gallon water storage tank and distribution facility
in order to provide necessary water supply during
interruptions of normal service in case of national
emergency. The facility required an above ground
storage tank, a pumping and monitoring system,
and distribution network to provide water to necessary
elements of building and complex services. The
project was constructed in a very tight time frame
in order to provide service capability to other
projects at the complex that were approaching
operational capability. The project was completed
and placed in service in late spring of 2004.
