Shirley Receives STEP Award

With great pride, Shirley Contracting Corporation received the STEP (Safety Training and Evaluation Process) award for 1998. Our organization has worked very hard on continuing the improvement of our safety training program, and to be distinguished with this award is proof of these efforts.

This award is established to reward Associated Builders and Contractor members for excellence in the field of safety. Judging is based upon many elements of safety, such as work-related fatalities, lost time, lost workdays, loss ratio and OSHA inspections. It is also based upon key components of a company's safety program including management's commitment to safety, record keeping, safety rules, new employee orientation and federal as well as state OSHA inspections.

This award is evidence that Shirley Contracting Corporation remains dedicated to the safety of every individual in our organization. Congratulations to each employee who helped make this happen. Our efforts will continue to cast Shirley Contracting as an industry leader.
