This list was published in a issue of "Transportation
Builder", an official publication of the American
Road & Transportation Builders Association.
Shirley Contracting Receives Safety Award
from MWAA
On April 6, 1998, Shirley Contracting Corporation
was presented with an award from Metropolitan
Washington Airports Authority, in recognition
and appreciation fro creating a safer work environment.
This is accomplished through our extensive safety
program and committed employees. Thank you all
for your hard work and effort.
HCCA Presents Shirley With Safety Award
On May 19, 1998, Shirley Contracting Corporation
was presented with an award for our outstanding
safety accomplishments for Heavy Highway and Bridge
performance in 1997. This again, is achieved through
our commitment of working safely.

Navy Recognizes Shirley Contracting
Corporation
The Department of the Navy granted a Certificate
of Recognition to Shirley Contracting Corporation
in a brief ceremony on March 12, 1997. This highly
coveted award was granted to Shirley Contracting
Corporation in recognition of the "exemplary"
work performed in the replacement of Bridge 1740
at Quantico Marine Corp Base.

Shirley Contracting Corporation Wins
HCCA Construction Safety Award
Safety has long been a philosophy and business
function at Shirley Contracting Corporation and
on April 16, 1996 those efforts were recognized
by the Heavy Highway Contractors Association at
its annual awards dinner. Shirley Contracting
Corporation was presented with a certificate and
plaque indicating an outstanding safety program
among all entered firms involved in heavy highway
and structural construction.
