Shirley Pentagon Project Receives Award

Shirley Contracting was awarded the Clark Construction "Project Team of the Year Award" for projects under 20 million dollars". The award-winning project was the Pentagon's Remote Delivery Facility Secure Access Lane Project completed in April of 2004. This project was one of many projects in the Pentagon Renovation Program aimed at making one of the most important buildings in the world more secure for all of its employees. It was a great honor to both work on this project and win this award recognizing all of the hard work demonstrated by all its members of the Shirley Project Team. It was also a great honor to work with all of the individuals involved with this project who continually stepped up to the plate whether called on or not. This project would not have been the success that it was, without the dedication of the entire Shirley Team including the management staff, all of the home office departments, and especially the field employees who did what it took to get the job done. Everyone in the Shirley Family should be proud of the great efforts put forth on this project and all of the projects constructed in the past year. We should look forward to many more great years to come.
